$15Grape growers and winemakers will hear the current state of smoke exposure knowledge and how to prepare for future smoke events from Dr. Tom Collins, one of the nation’s leading smoke taint experts. Collins, Washington State University wine chemist, has led the WA industry-supported smoke taint research the last three years and studied smoke taint in California before that.
This WAVEx will include several tastings of smoke-affected wines to compare the different in fuel source, timing of smoke exposure (preveraison and later) and wines treated with reverse osmosis to remove smoke aromas.
