Dr. Markus Keller of Washington State University will share results from field trials testing the use of undervine foggers and of supplemental irrigation before or during heat waves. He will discuss effects on vine growth, yield, fruit composition, and water use. Dr. Lav Khot from WSU’s AgWeatherNet will present the implementation of AWN Smart Farms for sensor-guided heat stress management, plus the smartphone and weather-guided web tools that are available within AWN.
