DESCRIPTION:WAVEx Webinar \nThe Washington Wine Commission presents WAVEx\, a condensed version of the Washington Advancements in Viticulture and Enology (WAVE) seminar that is co-hosted by Washington State University and highlights viticulture and enology research. WAVEx is often presented in webinar format with targeted topics and practical application. \nMitigating Heat Stress\nMay 20\, 2026 \nDr. Markus Keller of Washington State University will share results from field trials testing the use of undervine foggers and of supplemental irrigation before or during heat waves. He will discuss effects on vine growth\, yield\, fruit composition\, and water use. Dr. Lav Khot from WSU’s AgWeatherNet will present the implementation of AWN Smart Farms for sensor-guided heat stress management\, plus the smartphone and weather-guided web tools that are available within AWN.
