Sprayer Field Day – Optimizing spray coverage to use new technology

Field day will be demonstrated in hops, but is applicable to grapes and tree fruit. All industries welcome.This workshop will focus on understanding and working with sprayers to improve deposition and pest control while reducing drift and expenses. The importance of nozzles, pressure, speed and air are shown and then related to the use of new precision spray technology that targets spraying only the canopy. These principles of “planning, doing, and checking” should be applied to any sprayer but also critical when investing in new technologies and trying to optimize ROI.
