Event Description

The Washington Invasive Species Council is hosting a webinar to introduce Washington’s Spotted Lanternfly State Action Plan to stakeholders and any other interested parties. The purpose of this webinar is ultimately to seek feedback from industry and stakeholders that will be incorporated into the final version.

The webinar will cover not only Washington’s State Action Plan, but also provide an overview of spotted lanternfly from a national perspective, highlight regional efforts from California, Oregon, and British Columbia, and put a spotlight on best practices efforts from North Carolina’s response to this invasive pest. The webinar will conclude with a listening session/Q&A panel with regional representatives. An announcement flyer and agenda are attached.

The event will include information on how attendees can provide feedback that will be taken into consideration as the final plan is prepared. Regional partners also will participate to highlight their prevention efforts surrounding this insect and its hosts.
