For vineyards who choose to spray, spraying is one of the highest pre-harvest costs. Doing it poorly can lead to increased disease and insect pressure and unusable fruit. Doing it poorly can lead to increased pressure and even unusable fruit. Technologies exist to optimize coverage and increase data acquisition during spraying. But users must know how to use the tools. This field day event will teach proper calibration and optimization of sprayers and introduce BMP’s of technologies that include rate controllers, directed and/or over-the-row sprayers, intelligent sprayers, and adaptations to airblast sprayers that improve coverage.

We will be showcasing new technologies for precision application from VineTech Equipment, Smart Apply, and Burrows.
