WSU Smoke Taint Information Workshop

The Washington State University Viticulture and Enology Program will offer a smoke taint workshop for Pacific Northwest wine industry members who missed presentations given at the Washington Advancements in Viticulture & Enology (WAVE) seminars and the Association of Enology and Viticulture (ASEV) conference.
WSU researchers Dr. Jim Harbertson and Dr. Thomas Collins will outline the smoke taint phenomenon and discuss WSU’s on-going smoke taint research, and the impacts smoke exposure has on grape and wine composition.
The presentation will be held on Friday, Sept. 15 at 3:00pm at the Ste. Michelle Wine Estates WSU Wine Science Center in Richland, Wash. and streamed to WSU satellite locations throughout the state.
