Job Description:
Dineen Vineyards seeking a motivated and dedicated knowledgeable Tasting Room Lead to join our Estate Family Vineyards’ hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will report to the DTC Manager and will have responsibility to manage the daily operations of our tasting room as a deputy, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests while selling and promoting our premium wine offerings and experiences. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging environment, where guests can enjoy a curated selection of products. As the Tasting Room Lead, you will maintain the highest standards of customer service, while modeling and leading other staff to do the same. Your passion for service and expertise in sharing our wine and story will play an essential role in enhancing our brand’s reputation and fostering a loyal customer base. The Tasting Room Lead will also collaborate with the manager to execute administrative tasks such as events and promotions that showcase our wine and elevate the guest experience. Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the tasting room, ensuring exceptional guest experiences from the moment guests walk in the door including interactions with clients on the phone and via email ensuring repeat business.
Coordinate and execute tastings, tours, and special events to enhance guest engagement.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure optimal operations.
Provide feedback and reports to management regarding guests, club members, staff performance and guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Ability to lift over 50lbs and hold a MAST serving permit
Proven experience in a hospitality or customer service role, preferably in a tasting room or similar environment, including acting as a role model in providing exceptional service to all guests.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse guests.
Strong leadership abilities, work ethic, and goal oriented with a demonstrated track record in management a self motivated team player with a generous spirit.
Proven track record in sales and reaching goals effectively
Passion and knowledge of wine, curiosity to learn and master the story of The Dineen Family Vineyards, their products and the ability to communicate this to customers.
Proficiency in:
Operating software and POS system
Sales operations including sales metrics
Supplies ordering and inventory
Event planning and Execution
Managing social media content and schedule
Marketing communications
Skilled at Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Web design and Graphics programs
Must be available to work weekends and holidays, able to work 5 days per week. May include some local travel.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth operations.
