Part-Time (evenings, weekends as needed) hourly DOE

 

Job:                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

The Visitor Services hosts will work closely with the Visitor Services Coordinator and staff the visitor center and Chamber Tasting room on evenings and/or weekends as needed. The duties of this position includes, but are not limited to:

  • Available to work on Saturdays, evenings and/or Sunday’s as needed.
  • Complete knowledge of opening and closing procedures of the Tasting Room as well as the Chamber office.
    • Record daily sale of wine tasting, bottle sales as well as post cards, shirts and wine accessories. Balance daily sales at the end of each shift.  Place daily sales record, cash and bank card slips in an envelope at the bottom of the cash box.  Place the cash box in the storage cabinet at the end of the day.  Record all bottle sales and tasting bottles on the Wine Bar Inventory spreadsheet.   Inventory wine at the end of each shift.
  • Check exterior front at the opening and closing of business.
  • Clean windows, doors and other surfaces in tasting room areas as time permits with visitor traffic flow.
  • Water the Chamber indoor and outdoor plants as needed.
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Answer the telephone.
    • Greet and assist visitors as needed with info on attractions and events in the Wenatchee Valley.
    • Serve tastings as requested by visitors.
  • Maintain compliance with the Washington State Liquor Control Board and operate within the guidelines of the Chamber Beer and Wine Specialty License.
  • Perform administrative tasks as requested by the Visitor Center Coordinator.
  • Develop and maintain a professional business relationship with Wenatchee Valley Wineries. Study tasting notes.  Work with coordinator to gain knowledge about the wine, beers and ciders we pour so that you can inform the tasting visitors.
