The V&E Program is following CDC, state, and university recommendations to practice social distancing in order to slow the spread of the novel COVID-19 virus. We have temporarily modified our operations to include teleworking options for our faculty, staff and graduate students, but remain available to serve you during regular business hours though email, phone and videoconference. Harvest Intern | Longship Cellars | Richland, WA

Longship Cellars is looking for a Harvest Intern.  Pay is minimum wage + OT.  Responsibilities include assisting the winemaker with the following:
  • Daily cleaning and sanitation of crush equipment, fruit bins, fermentation bins, tanks, hoses, pump, facility
  • Fruit processing (operating crush equipment, sorting, pressing and so on)
  • Occasional forklift operations (depending on experience)
  • Fermentation management (inoculations, punch downs, chemical and nutrient additions, daily brix and temperature readings
  • Occasional vineyard trips for sampling
  • Assisting with events
