Job Description:

Alexandria Nicole Cellars is seeking cellar labor(s) for our upcoming 2021 harvest.

Alexandria Nicole Cellars is a 30,000 case, award winning winery located in Paterson Washington with our own 236 ac estate vineyard Destiny Ridge overlooking the Columbia River.  We produce both Boudreaux and Rhone style wines, as well as other smaller production varietals. We’re looking for conscientious and detail-oriented individuals with an interest and passion for wine and winemaking. You will work directly with the assistant and consulting winemakers using traditional winemaking techniques.

Job Description:
-Assist winemaker in day to day harvest activities

-Tracking fruit movements from field to tank
-Performs all aspects of cellar work
-Cleaning, sanitizing, and sterilizing equipment
-Pressing, crushing and destemming fruit
-Punch downs and pump overs
-Racking wine

Job Requirements:
-Must be authorized to work in the US
-Must have a valid US driver’s license
-Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
-Physically able to climb ladders and steps, be on your feet for extended periods of time in an environment that can be warm, cool, or wet
-Follow safety protocol, good housekeeping practices, and standard operating procedures
-Follow verbal and written instructions
-Fork lift skills are a plus but not required
-Work extended hours on limited notice during the height of crush
-Willing to work long hours (6-7 days a week, 10 or more hours per day)

Note: In the case of students we are willing to work with class schedules to allow enough time to attend class and study.

The perfect candidates will have:
-Positive attitude
-Organized and have an attention to detail
-Strong Initiative
-Excited and enthusiastic about wine making, grape growing, and wine
-Must be someone who pays close attention to detail when handling a luxury wine brand
-Previous Harvest experience is a plus, but not required.
– Exhibit respect, helpfulness, a positive attitude, and caution at all times

The position will start around mid-August and will continue through December. There may be an opportunity to continue working through the following spring for the right candidate. Housing and transportation are NOT available for this position.
