J. Bookwalter Winery is seeking harvest interns to join our 2020 winemaking team.
Interns will be part of a very small team and can expect to be involved with all aspects of the harvest production process. Applicants should expect to work 30-40 hr/week, including weekends. Work will be alongside experienced winemakers.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and Sanitation
- Cap Management
- Lab chemistry/microbiology
- Barrel work
- Daily record keeping
Along with your strong desire to learn, be prepared for small team interpersonal skills. Ability, and willingness to lift 50lbs repeatedly and climb stairs is required. Lab/microscope experience is a plus. Degree in Enology will be given priority.
