I am a winemaker with ten years of experience in the Walla Walla wine industry, seeking to build a team of co-founders for a new employee owned winery. This winery has already been running for two years, but the production is very small at this point, and the current business model of wholesale only is unsustainable. This is a great time to expand production rapidly to service one or two tasting rooms, as there is a significant surplus of quality bulk wine and available fruit. The plan is to build at least one tasting room in a major city and to re-formulate the wine brand so that it fits well with the culture of the target market.
The co-founder would be involved in all future sales, marketing, and branding choices while overseeing a tasting room in a major metropolitan area. The ideal candidate has at least five years experience in the beverage and hospitality industry, and extensive knowledge of wine in general. Management and retail experience is a must.
