Internship – Tasting Room Manager/Marketing Asst/Sales Coordinator (South Lake Union)

Compensation: $35k to 55k depending on experience with some component based on performance/comission
Employment Type: Full-Time

Note: This is really about running a small winery business and we are seeking an entrepreneur who has a STRONG desire to learn ALL facets of running a winery business. Someone who wants to truly run such a business will find this to be an amazing opportunity.

Like the wine industry? Like the food industry? Enjoy entertaining people and are extremely organized? How about sales and marketing? You will never be bored but need to be passionate and very organized. If so, you may be the right fit for The VUDE! We are looking for part Tasting Room Manager and part Administrative Assistant.

We run a small event rental facility (with a strong tie to a new premium argentine wine) in South Lake Union as well as the sales and marketing side of a premium argentine winery. We’re a small company which means everyone steps up to get the job done when necessary.

Promote Tasting Room — We need someone who will find creative ways to get folks in the door to taste our award winning wine. Social media experience is a big plus!
Launch new Vintages–we need to launch our new wines with PR, Social Media, new collateral etc.
Facilitate Tastings — Convert tasting room visits to bottle purchases and club memberships. This means excellent product knowledge and sales skills.
Distribution — Serve as winery’s main point of contact with local wholesale customers (restaurants and retailers). Periodically visit accounts, take orders and deliver product.
Inventory — Manage wine inventory, track sales and samples.

Marketing — We host our own monthly events with various collaborators and we need someone to lead marketing efforts for these events. This includes Constant Contact Emails, Social Media, creating and posting flyers and working with collaborators to promote.
Help manage the e-commerce and compliance systems.

There are some evening and weekend hours due to events occurring during these times.

This position is very detail oriented, and there is room for growth.
We are looking for someone who has some actual work experience and is not just out of college this year. It would be great if you have some actual serving/restaurant experience as well. Experience in the wine industry and an entrepreneurial bent is going to be very helpful! And of course a strong sense of humor!
