Bahco Pruning Tools is sponsoring a pruning contest on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ravenholt Teaching Vineyard near the WSU Wine Science Center in Richland.

The inaugural event will be open to the first 20 vineyard employees , students, or industry members who register.

Winners will be judged on precision and timeliness. Cash prizes, pruning tools, and belt buckles will be awarded to contest winners and all participants will receive a Bahco swag bag.

The contest is planned to become an annual event to connect industry, students, workers and employers. Local wineries and industry partners are invited to be a sponsor and showcase their wines or products.
