About Blended Learning
Blended Learning is a student winemaking class offered to WSU Viticulture & Enology students each semester. Students enrolled in the class receive hands-on experience working with Washington State growers and winemakers who collaborate with students to create unique wines based on their collective vision.
“Pairing students with growers and winemakers gives students access to industry professionals who share their experience and expertise. Students are also able to work in their wineries which exposes them to different equipment and production systems,” said V&E director Thomas Henick-Kling.
Two to four wines are released each year at the Blended Learning Spring Release Party in Richland, Wash. Wines are sold at retail outlets throughout the state and will soon be available online at http://wine.wsu.edu/shop/.
