2025 Two Mountain Viticulture Internship

Are you hardworking, detail-oriented, and moderately fun to be around? We are looking to hire two viticulture interns who have an eagerness to learn about viticulture and sustainable farming techniques for our 2025 growing season. The internship will start in May and end in August, just before harvest (flexible with school schedule). Primary responsibilities will include shoot elongation measurements, cluster counts and cluster weights, as well as learning how to scout for prominent grapevine pests and diseases. You’ll work alongside the viticulturist and vineyard manager as you develop your skills and support the vineyard team.  You will also get experience in shoot, leaf and crop thinning over the course of the summer and will have the opportunity to attend Michelle Moyer’s Intern Bootcamp.

Intern duties:

  • Shoot elongation measurements

  • Node counts

  • Yield estimation: cluster counts and cluster weights

  • Scouting for vineyard pests and diseases

  • Vine phenology tracking

  • Shoot, leaf, and cluster thinning

  • Assist with vineyard research projects

  • Learn to safely operate an ATV and other farm equipment

  • Work outside for extended periods of time to complete vineyard tasks

  • Other vineyard work as necessary

About Two Mountain Winery:

We are a fourth generation farming family who added winegrowing and winemaking to our farming portfolio back in 2002. In addition to farming our own vineyards for our estate winery, we also grow and manage 370 acres across the Yakima Valley. A few years ago, we started our journey toward becoming certified-sustainable and became Washington State’s first certified vineyard through Lodi Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing.  Three years ago, we became certified sustainable through the new Sustainable WA program.  We love educating the next generation of wine people and know that the future of our industry is dependent on the opportunities we can provide to it.

Wage Range: $17-$18 per hour
