Wyckoff Farms, Inc. is a vertically integrated agricultural organization seeking a full-time Vineyard Foreman to provide excellent leadership within all aspects of wine grape production.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of operation and maintenance of tractors/implements for mowing, spraying and other vineyard tasks.
  • Regular scouting and sampling for pests, disease and nutritional deficiencies.
  • Professional working relationship with partner farm.
  • Planting and establishment of a new vineyard, including irrigation systems and trellis.
  • Managing crews throughout the year based on tasks (will be directed by Senior Manager). Tasks include planting, trellis installation, vine training, pruning and harvest.
  • Day to day understanding of Payroll. Review and approve payroll prior to payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel and Outlook.
  • May be responsible for managing both H2A and local crews.
  • Basic understanding of rules and regulations
  • Will be required to work within the allotted budgets.
  • Assist in documentation of various sustainability certifications and L&I.
  • Assist in food safety and labor meetings with our crew.
  • An understanding of Spray labels and laws
  • Ability to research and adapt to new technologies that can streamline vineyard operations.
  • Inventory management of chemicals, trellis supply, irrigation, and equipment.
  • Check and help maintain all equipment.
  • Assist in classes and any beneficial training for our crew bosses and spray team.
  • Viticultural skills are ideal but not required.
  • Ability to work with several departments within the Wyckoff Farms.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual
  • OR pesticide license
  • 2 years of supervisor experience running labor crews
  • Understanding of grape production preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be knowledgeable in managing budgets and operational costs.
  • High school diploma and or AA experience or combination of both

Salary: $67,724.80 to $85,000 DOQ
