Since 1978 Quilceda Creek located in Snohomish Washington has focused exclusively on producing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons that rival and surpass the quality and pedigree of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons in the world. Our exclusive portfolio of vineyards in the Columbia Valley AVA sub-appellations of Horse Heaven Hills and Red Mountain include some of Washington State’s most historic and revered vineyard properties. Meticulously farmed by our crew year after year, Champoux, Mach One and Galitzine vineyards consistently produce acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignons that set the standards for exceptional quality.
We are a small passionate team that seeks motivated and positive-minded individuals to become part of our team during the 2024 harvest. This hands-on opportunity will allow you to contribute to all aspects of our Cabernet Sauvignon production process including fruit processing, cleaning, cap management, pressing and barreling down. This paid seasonal position will run from September through mid-November, depending on the growing season. Official harvest timing will be shared as the season progresses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sanitation of crush equipment, tanks, and winery facilities
- Grape receival and monitoring of crush equipment
- Camp Management: Pulsair mixing, Pumpovers, and Punchdown
- Take Brix readings, juice, and wine sampling
- Fermentation additions
- Drain wine to barrel and pressing skins
- Various other duties around the winery
Position Requirements:
- Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Previous harvest winery experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and ability to work 10+ hours on your feet
- Ability to work weekends and overtime throughout harvest season
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- An Appreciation for all weather conditions
- Understand and comply with all safety standards
- Ability to work on a team, as well as independently
- Maintain positive attitude and open communication
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Compensation $18-$25 per hour DOE. Time and a half when working over 40 hours per week.
