Dr. Devin Rippner\, USDA-Agricutlural Research Service soil scientist manages the vineyard site. He will share information on the statewide Soil Health Initiative\, give a definition for soil health as it applies to Washington vineyards\, present preliminary results from the vineyard site that highlights the uniqueness of soil health in eastern Washington and share preliminary results about how soil health practices can improve soil function and potentially help suppress plant parasitic nematodes.
