Claar Wine Group is offering a 3 month winemaking internship for the 2013 harvest. The internship will run from September 2nd until November 29th.

We are a moderate sized winery producing roughly 550 tons of estate grown wine grapes and sourcing an additional 50 tons from the Columbia Valley and Walla Walla AVA’s. Our products range from domestic value wines to ultra-premium wines and export wines mainly for China. Our labels include Ridge Crest, Claar Cellars, Le Chateau and Nicolas Redmark as well as other client based labels.

Interns are expected to assist in daily Crush activities or manage a portion of an ongoing project, depending on their level of experience.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience and increase your skill base for graduate school or future employment.

The Harvest Intern will be part of the on-the-floor harvest team with responsibilities ranging from: Receiving and supervising grape sorting, forklift driving, various additions, fermentation monitoring, punch downs, draining and pressing, barrel preparation and filling, racking, data tracking, and sampling and data interpretation.
