2018 Harvest Intern, Aquilini Red Mountain Vineyards

Aquilini Red Mountain Vineyards is seeking a motivated individual for our harvest intern position August 18 to November. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on cellar experience at a premium Washington winery. The position offers a broad range of training in various cellar tasks and includes some trips to our Estate / contracted vineyards on Red Mountain. Job duties will include, but are not limited to:

– Cleaning and sanitation of equipment / tanks/ facilities
– Daily set-up and break down of equipment
– Processing grapes
– Punch downs / Pump Overs
– Collecting Vineyard Samples, Analyzing juice Chemistry (Brix, pH, TA,), data entry.)
– Various other duties as assigned by winemaking team

– The ideal candidate will be motivated and hard working
– Energetic, and has a good attitude

-Ability to work independently and/or as a team

-Clear and effective communication
– Work in a safe manner around large equipment , high electrical equipment and chemicals
– Be able to stand for long periods of time,
– Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
– Grasp, crawl, stoop, squat, carry, climb ladders and barrel racks
– Reach with hands and arms
– Bend at the waist
– Taste, smell and evaluate juice / wines
– Previous lab experience preferred but not required
– Available to work full time (40 hours) and overtime during peak season (+60 hours)
– Follow verbal and written instructions in English
– Have a valid driver’s license and transportation
Prior harvest experience is preferred but not a requirement.


  • Expected start date, Mid August and the position will go to Mid/Late November with potential for F/T hire for the right candidate.
