Qualifications -Characteristics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture, Enology or Ag Business
  • 3+ years of viticulture and winery/grower relations experience
  • Valid US driver’s license; clean driving record and the ability to drive to locations throughout WA State
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and travel including overnight stays
  • Proficient in MS Office programs
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish desirable, but not mandatory
  • Ability to persuade and influence others
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – makes strong connections with people
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with highly sensitive materials and situations
  • Self-motivated, pursues goals with sense of urgency
Position summary: Grape Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is to prospect, qualify, meet and close the sale of grapes from our estate vineyards.

Additionally, Grape Sales Manager liaises with vineyard production manager to ensure premium quality grapes are produced and established yield targets are achieved

Helping develop corporate policy and procedure, as well as providing input on design and implementation of company’s business processes will be essential to candidate’s success.  Providing market intel to assist Senior Management in making key/effective decisions related to existing vineyards/customers is another key duty of role.

The Grape Sales Manager must at all times maintain highest standards in teamwork, efficiency, integrity, and professionalism.

  • Establish, develop and maintain key relationships with winemakers, wineries, brand owners, distributors
  • Manage all forms of correspondence with customers and maintain well organized filing system
  • Contact database entry/maintenance
  • Ensure suitable territory sales coverage maintained
  • Maintain sales expenses within budget
  • Organizing/coordinating sales travel, visiting key clients
  • Assist in preparation of grape-selling budget/proformas as required by management
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge
  • Attend professional workshops, review professional publications and establish professional/personal networks
  • Prepare a variety of status reports including activity, results, follow-up, adherence to goals
  • Perform related tasks as necessary
